So considering I've never built a battleship before I think I'm doing OK. I decided to build the ship first then break it up, like a real shipwreck as ship builders don't build a ship with the idea that 'this will look great if it ever sinks.' So make it then break it is the order of the day, and I can work out how I want it to sink and break the model accordingly.
