Well the title says it all really, here are some videos of ships getting hit with torpedoes so I can get good reference of how torpedoes interact with the hulls of ship when they go to blow them up and differently ships react depending on where and what they are hit with.

Destroying the Bismark, long but pretty good reference for naval battles.

Some more pictures
So considering I've never built a battleship before I think I'm doing OK. I decided to build the ship first then break it up, like a real shipwreck as ship builders don't build a ship with the idea that 'this will look great if it ever sinks.' So make it then break it is the order of the day, and I can work out how I want it to sink and break the model accordingly.

A Youtube video

This is a fantastic CGI recreation of how the Titanic sank done by National Geographic. It shows accurately how the ship sank which will be very important to me in order to get a realistic wreck. The video explains everything really well and it's a good thing to watch to work out how ships sink and how they land on the ocean floor depending on what sections filled up first. So check out the video :D

Here we go again :D
I thought why not have an underwater theme this year, because god knows I need a break from sci-fi and whats more down to earth than the bottom of the ocean.
Anyway wrecked things are a good way to show off modeling skills so while mine are still meh I thought lets jump in at the really, really deep end because it will never come back round to bite me on the arse a week before the deadline. Also all the intricate sea life will be fun (ball ache) to model and texture plus the only reason I passed the first assignment in the 1st year was because I thought outside the box and shot my self in the foot so here's hoping I can do that second time around.
Oh yea I'm doing a diorama of a sunken battleship. Modern ones like the old ships they sink to make reefs and diving areas. Plus I think underwater wrecks look pretty too.
